AAR: “OPEN DOORS”

America’s Engine: Association of American Railroads digital campaign highlighting the people and jobs behind the railroad industry

One of my favorite jobs in all my career, Chorus and I spent well over a week in Chicago’s many rail yards interviewing, filming and telling the stories of fifteen unique women and men from all walks of life who have built their careers and supported their families through working for the American railroad. Narrated in employees’ own words, the spots were constructed with a mix of on and off-camera interviews then supported with an agile and elegant but safe production approach that focused on capturing compelling contextual footage and stills to create an intimate, authentic and visually stunning campaign you can see everywhere.

A sincere and deep thank you to our agency partners and the Association of American Railroads. Growing up in the rural midwest and having spent my childhood guided to new places and experiences by following the railroad tracks, I poured my heart into this campaign. We all did. And it shows.
