The job made my heart about burst. I got to sit down with 44 individual high school seniors, their parents, their teachers, their coaches and counsellors, and their school faculty to tell the inspirational and incredible story of their journey through KIPP Atlanta Collegiate from KIPP Strive Primary, the the first primary school of it’s kind,
It’s a story about love. It’s a story about belief. Its a story about perseverance and grit. And it’s a story I feel honored and lucky to have helped tell. In a world where I constantly lose faith in leadership and character, meeting these kids and the dedicated community invested in their health and success made my believe in a better future again. Because if these kids are America’s future — there is much to be hopeful and optimistic about.
The film made it’s premiere at Madison Yards AMC and will go on to a limited festival run.
